Warfield Point Park

296 Warfield Point Road
Greenville, MS 38701

Whether you are looking for the perfect spot for a family vacation under the Mississippi moon or a weekend campout just for two, if you love the out of doors, you can’t go wrong at Warfield Point Park. Located in Greenville, in the heart of the Mississippi Delta, Warfield Point is a place Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn would have felt right at home. Let the sound of katydids in the cottonwood trees and the gentle lapping of the Mississippi River along its banks take away your worries and carry you to a world where cotton once was king and where Delta Blues was born.

Situated on eighty beautiful acres between the levee and the Mississippi River, Warfield Point Park offers one of the State’s few locations directly on the River with facilities for overnight camping, RV’s, picnicking and ATV trails.  A Washington County park, the well-maintained natural area is a habitat for many kinds of birds and other wildlife, and from its 38-foot observation tower, Park visitors are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of the legendary Mississippi River

E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center

323 South Main Street
Greenville, Mississippi 38701
p. 662.332.2246

The E.E. Bass school building on Main Street is one of the historical treasures of Greenville and the state of Mississippi. It is a community symbol of our rich arts and educational history, and is an architecturally significant historical landmark.

The E.E. Bass Foundation works diligently to build a strong vibrant community by providing a space for a variety of cultural events ranging from community theatre to art exhibits and lectures. The E.E. Bass School complex was abandoned by the public school system in 1980. Twenty years ago this historic and architecturally significant structure was a rotting shell doomed for demolition. It served as the first and worst visual blot on Greenville’s deteriorating downtown area. In 1988, the E.E. Bass Educational and Development Foundation, Inc. (Bass Foundation) was established to promote and administer the re-occupation of this abandoned structure as a facilitator to Greenville’s five main arts-based community organizations; the Greenville Arts Council, Delta Symphony Association, Delta Center Stage, Greenville Renaissance Scholars and Delta Children’s Museum. The building was then renamed the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center. Most recently, a private dance studio was added to the facility. Each organization housed in the facility host diverse and innovative arts and educational programming. During the summer months, Greenville Renaissance Scholars host their summer art-integrated programming to provide a pathway to college. Delta Center Stage performs all community theatre projects in the facility and the Greenville Arts Council also hosts all their programming in the building. The E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center is the gateway to Greenville’s downtown district.
